What I Do

I help people who are charged with crimes. I offer advice and I advocate for my clients in court. I also help people prove their innocence even after they've been convicted of a crime. I love what I do because my own experience has shown me the value of good legal advice. My law firm is founded on the principle that good legal advice should be available to everyone charged with a crime, not just the wealthy or well-connected.

How I Do It

I help people by sitting down with them and listening. After I listen, we make a plan to get the best result possible. Sometimes that means we go to battle in front of a jury. Sometimes that means we negotiate a plea agreement with the prosecutor. Whatever it takes, I am here to help.

About Me

I graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law and Brigham Young University. I started my career prosecuting in the Louisa County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office. After leaving the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, I practiced criminal defense for a private law firm. In 2016, I opened my own practice.

Legal Fees

I generally require full payment of the retainer up front. In some cases, we can enter into a payment plan. I do my best to keep my fees reasonable so that you can afford an attorney to represent your interests.

Our office is located in downtown Charlottesville. The address is 107 W. Market St., Charlottesville, VA 22902. Our office is between Hill and Wood and Monsoon Siam.

Parking

There is public parking directly across the street from our office. There is also parking less than a block away in the public parking lot across the street from the Market Street Park.

Nearby Courthouses

Both the Albemarle County and Charlottesville City courthouses are within a short walking distance of my office. It is not easy to find parking near the courthouses. I recommend the Market Street Garage or Water Street Garage.
